Amira Yanni, M.A., LGPC/ Resident in Counseling

Amira Yanni received her Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2021. She is working towards independent licensure as a professional counselor in DC and VA. She is licensed in DC as a Licensed Professional Graduate Counselor (License #LGPC200001327) and in Virginia as a Resident in Counseling (License # 0704014430).

Although Amira works with clients of all ages, she has a passion for working with children, teens, and young adults. Amira is a certified facilitator for RelateStrong, as well as Prepare-Enrich and SYMBIS premarital counseling programs, and she is trained in EMDR.


Amira’s Approach

 

Amira believes healing occurs through relationships based on empathy and support; she takes an integrated person-centered approach in therapy in order to walk alongside clients in reaching their goals. Amira has experience working with individuals with anxiety, life transitions, depression, body image struggles, and traumatic experiences. She cares deeply about being multiculturally competent and holding space for clients where they are at both mentally and spiritually. She speaks both English and Arabic.
